Get in touch with The Forum
To continue from the success of last year’s ‘Summer of Sci-fi’ programme,Big Screen Southend is pleased to present a summer of free out-door cinema screenings outside The Forum Southend-on-Sea. Taking place across each Saturday in August from 6PM, this film selection focuses on key milestones in the development of computer generated imagery and animatronics in cinema.
With 22 years since ‘Toy Story’ was first released in 1995, the film reached acclaim as the first ever computer generated feature-length film. With an ambitious undertaking from Pixar Animation Studios, producers created their own software and hardware as they went along to imagine a new kind of movie that changed our experience of films altogether.
Be sure to bring a chair and join us in Elmer Square for this free outdoor screening event. All welcome.
Director, John Lasseter. 1995.
