To continue from the success of last year’s ‘Summer of Sci-fi’ programme,Big Screen Southend is pleased to present a summer of free out-door cinema screenings outside The Forum Southend-on-Sea. Taking place across each Saturday in August from 6PM, this film selection focuses on key milestones in the development of computer generated imagery and animatronics in cinema. 

Labyrinth



Directed by Jim Henson, creator of ‘The Muppets’ and ‘Sesame Street’, this films visual effects are predominantly created on screen with the use of puppets in this fantasy classic starring the late David Bowie. However, the film boasts what is largely considered the first ever use of a CGI animal. 


Be sure to bring a chair and join us in Elmer Square for this free outdoor screening event. All welcome.
